Azure commercial analytics platform
Architected and built an Azure analytics platform from scratch, processing TB-scale revenue and usage data with Databricks, Spark and Delta Lake.
Pipeline architecture & migration details
- Designed incremental, repeatable ETL with Azure Data Factory and a metadata/status ledger for reprocessing and auditability.
- Built data-quality checks into the pipeline framework.
- Contributed to the Unity Catalog migration: rewrote storage-path handling, corrected write-mode behaviour to prevent unintended appends, and validated deployments.
Pipeline operations assistance MVP
Conceived the system and designed its architecture, then wrote the specification and implemented a non-AI MVP. AI-assisted diagnosis and remediation are planned.
Current MVP scope & design
- Implemented a worker scaffold for pipeline-failure signals, with deduplication and redaction.
- Defined read-only evidence collection and audit contracts. The current MVP does not perform automated remediation.
Survey analytics application
Own end-to-end development and operation of a containerised survey analytics application, from the user interface and API to the analytics service and deployment.
Application stack & operations
- Develop the React/TypeScript interface, Node.js/GraphQL API, PostgreSQL metadata store and R analytics service.
- Manage Docker deployments, Ansible automation, gated Azure DevOps CI/CD, monitoring and security maintenance.
Fabric SQL data-access integration
Built a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server MVP connecting Azure AI Foundry agents to Microsoft Fabric SQL data.
Integration & authentication details
- Used .NET and ASP.NET Core on Azure App Service, with a standard pattern for hosting and adding tools.
- Separated inbound agent authentication from SQL data permissions using managed identities.
- Verified end-to-end agent-to-data access.
Client leadership & engineering enablement
Serve as Site Lead for Microsoft, managing the client relationship, onboarding and resourcing alongside engineering work.
Site Lead responsibilities
- Prepare monthly execution reports and quarterly business reviews.
- Created a shared prompt and instruction kit and run regular AI Show & Tell sessions for engineers.
